I bought this car Christmas 2005 for my wife, it's been a solid driver.
After driving 70,000 miles it's now at 188,000, and never misses a beat.
Mods were oil tensioners and MSD, a Bursch header and stainless exhaust.
It's getting a much deserved full resto, will post some before & after pics.
We've enjoyed this Sporto so much I just bought another! His & Hers...
1968 911S Targa Sporto
It must be a sickness. Besides a '62 356 Notchback Outlaw and a 46K mile unrestored '67 911S, when a '68 911 Sporto was offered online recently, I didn't hesitate and bought a matching S car to my wife's T. It's decent and straight but has a 915 gearbox, and is generally in need of TLC. The seller included a correct 905/01 and fortunatley I've accumulated all the parts needed to return it to Sporto spec. It's neat they're identical in appearance, but I'm not sure... I've always liked Tangerine. Any thought on changing color?
